With in these Hallowed Grounds of the Old section of this Cemetery lies Daniel Booth and his wife Amutal Hallock in unmarked graves.
On 25 June 1972 the Pennsylvania coast was hit by a hurricane and the Susquehanna River swollen with flood waters broke through the dike and gauged a four acre chasm out of the heart of the cemetery displacing approximately 2500 burials and the cemetery lost almost all of it's written documentation.
The 1830 census shows Daniel and Amutal here in the area of Kingston, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.
Other Booth family members were also in the area and buried in Forty Fort Cemetery.
In 1833 there were only three active cemeteries in this area and through research and phone calls Wyoming Cemetery and Hanover Green Cemetery have been ruled out of being the resting sites of Daniel and Amutal Booth.
