Bracken or "B" as he was commonly known, was a son of Joseph T. Cope and Ann Bracken. He was a farmer and married twice - first to Miss Alice Kerr on October 27, 1885 and after her death to Miss Jessie Bevan on September 14, 1904. B. died at home of gallstones.
