Hollie H. Davis, 83, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital last night. Born near Fort Ashby, he was a son of the late Marshall J. and Catherine (Dennison) Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired employee of The Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, where he was a tire builder. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War I, and a member of the Fort Ashby Post 6667 VFW, Veterans of World War I Barracks 3501, and Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Daisy L. (Smith) Davis; two sons, Paul D. Davis, Knobley Estates, Short Gap, W. Va.; Thomas M. Davis, Upper Marlboro; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Silcox-Merritt Funeral Residence. Services will be conducted Wednesday at t p.m. in Trinity United Methodist Church, Fort Ashby. The Rev. Paul Suder will officiate and interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery. The Cumberland Evening Times, Monday, March 21, 1977
