Mark W. Chase, 67, of Bedford, died at July 27, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born May 9, 1948, in Massena, NY, the son of Donald B. and Mary H. (Goodspeed) Chase. He married Janet R. Hutchins on November 17, 1969 and she survives.

He was a millwright welder for General Motors and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the AmVets in New York.

Survivors include his wife, Janet, of Bedford; two sons, Kevin Chase and wife, Rebecca, of Bedford and Jeff Chase and wife, Christy, of Oolitic; four grandchildren; one great grandson; a sister, Connie Beaupre of Florida; two brothers, Joe Chase and wife, Helen, of Florida and Brian Chase and wife, Gina, of New York; several nieces and nephews and his fur baby, Coco.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Vincent Chase; a daughter, Diana Lee Chase; four brothers and a nephew.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery with military rites accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter 2.
