GREENSBORO, NC ~ Mack D. Wilson, 88, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, June 1, 2015, at Beacon Place.

Visitation will be held Wednesday June 3rd, from 6-8 p.m. at Forbis and Dick North Elm Chapel, Greensboro. Funeral service will be held at Forbis and Dick North Elm Chapel, Thursday June 4th, 2015, at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mack was born in Pilot Mountain to the late Elijah Lee and Mecie May Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his son, Buddy Wilson, eight brothers and four sisters.

Mack served in the United States Army during World War II.

Prior to retirement, he worked as a Manger for Bi-Rite and Food-Rite stores. He enjoyed hunting and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy C. Wilson of Greensboro; son, Dee Wilson of Greensboro; daughters: Leigh Plummer (Randall) of Timmonsville SC and Judy Locklear (Charles) of Ernul; sisters: Daisy Dillard (Jack), of McLeansville and Dolly Coble (Donnie) of Greensboro; brothers: Paul Wilson of Pilot Mountain and Jimmy Wilson (Jeannie) of Greensboro; grandchildren: Cody Plummer, Miranda Plummer, Hannah Locklear and Isiah Hicks.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave, Greensboro NC 27405.
