Katherine Ann Garrett, 67, of New Harmony, Indiana, born to Melvin and Evelyn (Kramer) Fisher on October 6, 1947 in Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Deaconess Hospice Care in Evansville, Indiana.
She graduated from New Harmony High School in 1965 and Lockyear Business School in Evansville, Indiana. She was a member of Tri-Kappa, New Harmony Business Association, Friends of Harmonie State Park and was a past member of the New Harmony Alumni Committee. She enjoyed quilting and camping at Palestine, Illinois. She worked at Fifth Third Bank in New Harmony, Indiana for 39 years and 28 years as branch manager, retiring in 2011. She also worked at the Armour fertilizer plant outside of New Harmony.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years: Richard Garrett; 2 daughters: Cheryl (Michael) Deig and Angela (Phil) Wiltshire; 3 sons: Jared (Kristin) Blaylock, Jeremy (Jennifer) Garrett and Lee (Abby) Garrett; 9 grandchildren: Matthew Deig, Amanda Deig, Christopher (Connie) Wiltshire, Melissa Wiltshire, Landry Blaylock, Erik Garrett, Kira Garrett, Kayla Garrett and Edith Garrett and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Allen Blaylock; brother: Steve Fisher and a grandchild: Rebecca Wiltshire.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Werry Funeral Home in New Harmony, Indiana with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery in New Harmony, Indiana. Rev. John Adams officiating.
