ABINGDON, Va. Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Belisle Kirk, age 75, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Abingdon, Virginia and was the daughter of the late James Thomas Belisle and Minnie Frances Wyatt Belisle. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Paul Thomas and Charles Edward Belisle; and the father of her children, Robert Lee Arnold Jr. She had lived in Alabama but the majority of her life was spent in Washington County, Virginia. She had been an employee of Johnston Memorial Hospital and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her five children, Eddie Arnold, Jenny Ann Carmack and husband, Rusty, both of Abingdon, Virginia, Timothy Arnold and wife, Jill, and Cindy McKemy and husband, Hank, both of Bristol, Virginia, and Kathy Harless and husband, David, of Meadowview, Virginia; one sister, Willie Mae Belisle; one brother, Jerry C. Belisle and wife, Debbie, both of Abingdon, Virginia; two very special cousins, Linda Belisle and Carolyn Reynolds; and a special granddaughter-in-law, Hayley Rogers. She is survived by 11 very loving grandchildren and 10 loving great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Libby Kirk will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary Harless and Brother David Harless officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Knollkreg Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother James Wyatt and Brother Randy Camper officiating. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family and friends will gather at the cemetery on Tuesday by 10:45 a.m. for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Washington County Life Saving Crew or to the Margaret B. Mitchell Spay & Neuter Clinic in memory of Elizabeth Ann Kirk.
