Barbara married Peter Vos. He died in 1983.Barb then married Randy Odenbrett on September 7. 1990.
She enjoyed bowling, Ashing, camping and spoiling her grandchildren. Barb died January 22, 1999 at Northwest Iowa Health Center at Sheldon, Iowa, at the age of 53 years, 23 days.
Barb is survived by her husband, Randy; three children and their spouses: Michael and Lou Vos of Fort Smith, Ark., Malissa and Robert Young, and Matthew and RaeJean Vos, all of Hartley, two stepchildren: Chad and Michael Odenbrett of Sanborn; nine grandchildren: Contessa, Katie, Tanner, Devin, Peter, Jade, Alicia, Justin, and Sharonda; four brothers: Duane Gano of Salina, Kans., Gaylen and Carol Gano of Vancouver, Wash., Raymond and Doris Gano of Sanborn, and Edward (Jim) and Betty Gano of Adrian, Minn.: seven sisters: Elfay and Bob Merical of Allendorf, Ia., Virginia and Richard Eastman of Westminster, Calif., Kay and Lloyd Dolphin of Hospers, Karen and Gordon Smith of Archer, Bev and Roger Jensen of Sheldon, Sandy and Dennis Farnsworth of Snohomish, Wash., and Cindy and Rich McPharland of Boulder, Colo.; and mother-in-law, Jessie Vos of Sanborn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Mark.
Funeral services were held January 25 at St Andrews United Methodist Church in Sanborn with Rev. Janl Dahlln officiating. Casket bearers were Gary Daggett, Randy Brown, Harold Brandt, Lyle Boots, Lance Marshall and Earl Setvert. Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn, with the Sanborn Funeral Home in charge.
