He was born March 18, 1917 in Watauga County.
Mr. Norris was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II. He retired from Vermont American in Boone and attended Howard's Creel Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, two grandsons, one brother and his son.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Bledsoe Norris and a son, Mike Norris.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiated by the Reverend Joe London, Burial will follow in the Mountlawn Memorial Park and Garden.
