Mr. Jason M. "Jay" Bailey, 40 formerly of Watertown, CT , passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 30,th in Florence, SC. He was the husband of Rachel (Lessard) Bailey of Coward, SC and formerly of Oakville.
Jay was born on October 23, 1974 in Waterbury. He attended Watertown Schools, graduated from Watertown High School and attended Naugatuck Valley Community College. He was a former member of the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance.
Jay and Rachel have lived in South Carolina for over 10 years where he was employed with Spriles Communcations LLC of Lake City, SC. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan and NASCAR Fan. He had a kind and gentle spirit, made many friends for life and will be deeply missed by many.
Besides his wife, Jay is survived by his mother Denise Robertson-Bailey of Oakville, his father Dennis Roy Bailey and his wife Lee Nabors of Charleston, SC, his mother-in-law Christine Lessard of Coward, SC, his aunt Barbara Crème and her husband Paul of Chelmsford, MA, cousins Daniel Crème of Chelmsford, MA, Gail Sullivan and her husband Gene, Jennifer and Christopher Sullivan all of Franklin, MA. He was predeceased by his grandparents George and Joann Robertson who resided in Wolcott.
Funeral will be Thursday 9 AM from DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for Mass at 10 AM . Jay's final resting place will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours are Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
