James Edward Agnew passed away May 31,2015.

He was born to Edwin J and Catherine F Agnew on October 2, 1939 in Milton, Massachusetts.

He attended Milton High School where he excelled in his studies. He loved all sports, especially baseball. His pitching skills were the talk of the town. He attended Northeastern University and on February 21, 1960, enlisted in the Army where he served six years.

He married Joyce C. Bresnahan on July 20, 1963. They bought their first home in Weymouth, Massachusetts and soon after moved to Hanover, Massachusetts. They settled in Amherst, New Hampshire and raised their three beautiful children, James, Sean, and Katie.
They spent summers together at their cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee and enjoyed their time with family and dear friends. In 1992, Jim and Joyce moved to Colorado, where they grew to love the beauty of the West. Jim retired and spent time with his children and grandchildren.

In his children's younger years he spent time coaching their sport teams including; ice hockey, baseball, softball, and volunteering as president of the Pop Warner Football League. His hobbies included attending and watching sporting events as well as, snow skiing and ocean vacations with his wife and children. These were some of the happiest times of his life.

Jim had a "wicked" sense of humor and enjoyed people. He was a loyal and wise man and will be remembered in our hearts forever. He will be extremely missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, brothers Edwin J. and Paul G. of MA., sons James (Janet), Sean (Michelle), daughter Kathryn (Joseph) and eight grandchildren, Ellie, Benjamin, William, Hailey, Taveon, Garrett, Tyler and Keagan and many nieces and nephews.
