Born to Frank Dovin Bass, Sr. (1878-1962) & Daisy Dean Laughlin Bass (1884-1962). Sivolah was named for her father's sister, Sivolah Bass Fenneil (1873-1893), who died at age 20.
The family moved from Erath County, TX, to the New Mexico Territory by covered wagon and homesteaded north of Tatum in 1911.
Sivolah married Walter Reed Smock (1910-1986) of Indiana on June 3, 1940, in Canyon, Texas. Walter was the son of George Emery Smock (1873-1952) & Nettie M. Reed Smock (1878-1968).
Two children:
• Sue Ann Smock Simmons (living)
• Walter Kyle Smock (1943-2011)
Sivolah's grave is unmarked as of 2016.
