GRIFFITH - Josephine (Heckman), 92, Siemon’s Lakeview Manor Estate, Somerset, formerly of Boswell, died March 10, 2011, at Siemon’s. Born Sept. 9, 1918, in Thomas Mills, daughter of Charles and Daisy Heckman. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 55 years, Kermit H., on Jan. 6, 1996; and sisters, Dorothy Blough and Annabelle Johnson. Survived by sons, Larry, Boswell; and Dennis, married to the former Karen Drenning, Somerset; grandson, Spencer, Boswell; and great-granddaughter, Marley Josephine. A graduate of Johnstown High School. Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown. She lived and worked on the family farm and was once employed by Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell. She was a devoted housewife and retired teacher’s aide at the North Star Elementary School, Boswell. She always enjoyed working around the farm, spending time with friends on bus trips and visiting family, and also enjoyed watching game shows and completing search-a-word puzzles. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laurel Trinity Church, the Rev. Jacquelyn S. Ahern, presiding. Interment, St. James Cemetery.
