Kisling, Arlyne B. 90 10/11/1918 3/24/2009 Arlyne B. Kisling was born in Irwin, Iowa. She married Floyd O. Kisling in 1934 and in 1936 moved to Dietrich, Idaho, where they lived for 66 years. In 2002, they moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, and then in 2004, to Beaverton. Floyd passed away Dec. 31, 2004. They were married more than 70 years. Active in politics and education activities, Arlyne served as president of the Idaho Parent Teachers Association. She also served on the board of directors of the national PTA. Arlyne was a long-time member of Eastern Star, serving as worthy matron of the Shoshone, Idaho, chapter, as well as an associate guardian to the Job's Daughters Bethel in Shoshone. Well known in her farming community, she was Floyd's helpmate, hired hand, cook, truck driver and best friend. Arlyne is survived by her three children: sons, Gene (Shirley) and Gary (Jackie); daughter, Genene Grimes (Steven); 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, in the Baptist Church, Shoshone, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
