Ms. James passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

"Aunt Sue" as she was affectionately known by many, was born on August 28, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Geneva (Williams) Young. She grew up in Medicine Park and later moved to Rush Springs where she graduated from high school. While in high school, she played on the basketball team. She married A.C. James on February 27, 1951 and they lived in Lawton. She attended Dalton's Business College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Business. She worked at Moore Hat Company for many years until the company closed and then she worked as a cashier for the City of Lawton until retiring in 1996. Sue loved to travel and play with her boys. She enjoyed working outside in the yard.
She is survived by her only child, Karen and her husband, Billy Pamplin, of Lawton; three grandboys, Kevin, Colter, and Sterling; her sister, Johnnie Jones, of Tyler, Texas; and her brother, Bill Young, of Duncan;
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A.C.; and three brothers, Curtis Young, Pete Young and Don Young.
Graveside service for Laura Sue "Aunt Sue" James, 83 of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
