Hagen – Laura G Hagen, 86, of Northport, died Friday after a short illness.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Garthe, she was born June 9, 1888 in Northport.

Her husband, John Hagen, preceded her in death.

Surviving are four sons; Ike, of Northport, Franklin of Celina, Ohio, Grant of Alexandria, Va. and James of Stockton, Calif., three daughters; Mrs. Gus (Esther) Rogers of Milwaukee, Mrs. Jack (Lita) Olpman of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. And Mrs. Neil (Joan) Munro of Elk Rapids, 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was a life resident of Northport and a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church of Northport. She was a charter board member of the Leelanau Hospital and a school teacher in Leelanau County. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at the Bethany Lutheran Church, the Rev. Dale Mitchell officiating.

Burial will be in Northport Cemetery. (Changed to Leelanau twp cemetery) Friends may call at the Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay Sunday afternoon and evening.
