Carolyn Peters Goodman, 67, of Cecilia, was born February 23rd, 1948 and left this world to be with her Savior on Friday, July 30th, 2015 at her residence. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Many remember her for always thinking of others before herself. She was saved when she was eleven years old. When her mother died she was only fifteen years old and as the eldest, had to help care for her siblings. She was a loyal member of Open Valley United Missionary Baptist Church and helped many lost souls through her gifts of spiritual singing, testimony, and prayer. Along with her husband, Ronnie and their cousin Iona, they started a gospel group and sang together in many churches for over forty years. She retired from Hardin County Schools in 2007 after working 25 years in the cafeteria at Howevalley School. She loved to work on her flowers at home and spent many hours quilting. She loved taking care of others and was a rock in her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Hilary & Ollie Elliott Peters and a brother Michael Dean Peters. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ronnie Goodman, also of Cecilia. A daughter, Ronna Carol Ashlock (Jeff) of Sonora. A son, Darrin Shane Goodman (Melissa) of Elizabethtown.
