WILKES, ROBERT T., JR., 71, formerly a long time resident of Newtown, CT, passed away on July 29, 2015 after a sudden and short illness. He was born in Danbury, CT, the son of Robert Sr., and Mabel (Petitt) Wilkes.

After a long and dedicated career with the US Postal Service, Robert retired as Real Estate Manager and moved to Brooksville, Florida in 2000. For many years he served, holding various positions including President, on the Board of Directors at the Brookridge Community Property Owners Association where he lived. He was also an active full-time real estate agent and broker with EXIT Success Realty. He was truly a loved and respected man among his family, friends and community. His absence will be felt far and wide.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; daughter, Kelly (Charles E. III) Norman, and his son, Robert (Amy H.) Wilkes, III; grandchildren, Samantha J. Norman, Charles E. Norman, Madelyn J. Wilkes, and Robert T. Wilkes IV.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at the Brookridge Community Clubhouse on Monday, August 3, at noon.
