She was born Oct. 25, 1917 in LaGrange County, to Levi & Minnie (Miller) Hooley. She married Ralph Jay Hull on April 16, 1938 in Goshen and he died June 20, 2006.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Begley, Goshen, sons, Robert (Jane) Hull, New Lisbon, Wis., Weldon (Lola) Hull, Goshen, Jerry Hull, Winamac, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Lavada worked in housekeeping at Goshen College for 20 years. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Middlebury.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., where the service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015. Pastor Kent Miller of First Mennonite Church, Middlebury and Pastor Wilbur Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery.
