Doug Chambers, 55, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 28, 2015 at home.
He was born Nov. 17, 1959 in Georgetown, son of Robert Dale Chambers and Amy Jean Ferguson Chambers, who survive.
Doug worked as a meat cutter for over 35 years with the last 21 years at Kroger's in Eastgate. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Class of 1977 and had attended the Laurel Oaks where he studied meat cutting. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals Fan.
Surviving are two sons, Chad Douglas (Nicole) Chambers of Hillsboro and Robert Dale (Blanca) Chambers of North Dakota; two grandsons, Weiland Chambers and Oren Chambers; two sisters, Vicki (Mike) Vance of Hillsboro and Teal (Chuck) Sexton of Hillsboro; two nephews, Brandon (Mistey) Vance and Ryan (Ashley) Sexton; three nieces, Bobbi (Jarrod) Bloomfield, Kelley Hetzel, and Kaelee (Preston) Lowe; 10 great-nieces and nephews, Reece and Deegen Bloomfield, Lane, Lexey, Lance, and Logan Hetzel, Logan and Baylee Carey, Bentlee Lowe, and Austin Sexton.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Friday, July 31, 2015, 6-8 p.m.
