Obituary - Riverhead —Lewis P. Conklin, well known and respected old resident of this village, died suddenly at his home, corner of Griffing Avenue and Lincoln Street, Sunday, morning of neuralgia of the heart. He was stricken about 4 o'clock that morning. Mr. Conklin was in his usual health when he retired Saturday night, having driven his automobile that afternoon. He was in his 79th year and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Conklin. Mr. Conklin had resided in this section all his life. For many years he followed the carpenter's trade. He is survived by a daughter, Miss Ethel May Conklin; a son, Everett L. Conklin; four brothers, John H., Franklin E., James P., and Eugene L. Conklin, of Patchogue, and a sister, Mrs. Austin Tuthill, of Mattituck. Funeral services were conducted at the late residence of the deceased Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. C.C. Cornwell, pastor of the First Congregational church officiating and the interment was in the Riverhead Cemetery.
