He leaves to cherish his sweet memories, his wife of 32 years Clarissa Farmer; six daughters: Felicia (James) Farmer of Saucier, Joann Farmer of Saucier, Joyce (Raymond) Pace of Gulfport, Tammy (Kurk) Callahan of Jackson, Wanda (Jay) Farmer of Gulfport, Monica (Kenny) Marsh of Saucier; twelve sons: Leon (Francis) Farmer of Saucier, Ed (Jackie) Farmer of Gulfport, Tyrone (Augustine) Farmer of Gulfport, Donnie (Ruth) Farmer of Saucier, Jeffery (Carla) Farmer of Gulfport, Ken (Monica) Farmer of Gulfport, Willie (Raysha) Callahan of Gulfport, John Farmer of Saucier, Phillip (Laquinta) Farmer of Saucier, Edward Farmer of Saucier, Allen Farmer of Saucier, Andre Farmer of Saucier; thirty-six grandchildren; one goddaughter: Sherri Davis; two godsons: Richard Brown and Paul Overby, one sister: Inez Farmer of Gulfport, MS; two brothers: Robert Farmer of Boston, MA and Charles Farmer of Atmore, AL; three special friends: Rev. Curtis Durr, Clarence Risby, T.J. Overby; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Two of his brothers preceded him in death, George Farmer and Emanuel Farmer.
Singing was a source of enjoyment for him. He was a member of the gospel group, The Alabama Blind Boys until he formed his own group, The Sunlight Gospel Singers. After singing with the original Sunlight Gospel Singers for over 15 years, he started another group of Sunlights with his children. Later he added his grandchildren.
