OBITUARY: Albion Recorder, March 16, 1916: "Bessie Redfield, formerly Mrs. George Dearing of Albion, died in Harper Hospital in Detroit, Saturday afternoon, following an operation which was performed on Thursday. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Redfield of Jackson, her father preceding her in death in 1913 and she spent most of her life in Jackson coming to Albion with her husband a few years after their marriage. Since her divorce she has been in Detroit. She was actively connected with the M. E. Church here and made many friends during her few years residence here."
