Mrs. Cheryl "Hookie" Lavette Oliver (Denham) was born November 2, 1958 in Gary, indiana and departed this life to receive her wings on Sun, May 31, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana at the young age of 56.
Cheryl leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Kenneth Oliver, her loving mother Rena Weathersby, Her children Kameka (Frank) Cooper of indianapolis, Indiana Kanesha (Steve) Andrews of Jacksonville, Florida and Ramon Harper of Indianapolis, Indiana and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Cheryl was preceded in death and will be greeted with open arms at the pearly gates by her father Jeffery Denham, her two sons Donald Harper and Tristan Harper and her sister Karen Robinson.
Cheryl accepted Christ at a young age. She married the love of her life Kenneth Oliver on July 19th, 2002 in which they devoted 16 years of love and happiness together. She devoted herself to caring for others and worked in home health care. She loved to cook and took pride in doing so. She also enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids which she adored. Cheryl had a beautiful smile that lit up a room and always took time out to listen and be there for others.
A funeral is scheduled for Monday June 8th at Family Funeral Care at 11am. With visitation from 10 am till time of service. Repass is scheduled later that day at 5pm.
