He was born on Jan. 27, 1946 in Lincoln to Walter and Helen (King) Marolf. He spent most of his life farming with his father in the Greenwood area. He also drove a grain truck over the road. He was a real estate salesman and auctioneer. He installed and maintained water softeners after he moved to the Phoenix area. He attended Greenwood Public Schools until the fall of 1955 when they moved to the farm. He graduated from Waverly High School in 1964. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was active in the Gideons and in his church. He is survived by his wife, Jan (Allen), of almost 50 years, daughters Kristen (Dan) Krueger of Ft. Collins, CO and Kelsey (Chad) Trapeur of Phoenix, AZ; son Kyle Marolf of Lincoln; several grandchildren; sisters Anna (Tom) Jamrog of Waverly and Meg King of Cantril, IA; nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Calvary Community Church in Phoenix, AZ on Saturday.
