Of De Soto entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2015 at his home. Mr. Ritchie was better known to his family and friends as "Jerry". He had worked for the Chrysler Corporation and served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He enjoyed watching tv, hunting, reading, camping and was a member of the First Baptist Church of De Soto.
Born in Blackwell, Missouri on April 5, 1936 to the late Ross Ritchie and Eula (Nee Henry)Bailey. He leaves behind his loving wife, Marcella (Nee Cordia) Ritchie.
He was the dear father of Michael (wife, Pennie) Ritchie of De Soto, Gerald "Scott" Ritchie of Festus, Mark Ritchie of De Soto, Mary "Kathy" (husband, Steve) Conatser of Festus and Sheila (husband, Randy) Clark of Theodosia, Missouri; the loving grandfather of seven grandchildren: Mandy Schlander, Jacob (wife, Heidi) Schlanker, Matt Hamilton, Dallas Hamilton, Jonathon Harris, Michael C. Ritchie and Ellen Ritchie; dear great-grandfather of Trent Pitzer, Angela Arndt and Jay Lee Schlanker; the dear brother of Jim (wife, Linda) Bailey of Sullivan, Illinois and Evalene (husband, Ron) Shackelford of Houston, Texas.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by, a sister, Sheila Lane, two son-in-laws: Charles "Erich" Schlanker and Mike Harris; a brother-in-law, Danny Cordin and his stepfather, Everett Bailey.
