She was born on January 5, 1926 in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Eugene & Viola (Arnsdorf) Scheckel. On January 21, 1947 she married Urban (Barney) Wiegel. They farmed and raised their family in the Shullsburg area. On February 14, 1994, she married Raphael McGuigan, and they enjoyed their time together. with outings to the Elks, VFW & American Legion. Her pastimes of golf, dancing, playing euchre, and volunteering kept her young at heart. She was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church, Ladies Auxiliary of Madison VFW Post 7591, Madison Elks Auxiliary 410, and McFarland American Legion 435. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sisters: Lillian Hurd, Margaret Spoerre; son-in-law Jim Harmer; daughter-in-law Diane Wiegel; granddaughter Therese (Salathe) Indra; and four children in infancy.
