Louise Jenkins Sharp passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. A native and life resident of Bush, LA, she was born on Saturday, November 24, 1934 to Elulia Sharp and Nick Jenkins.
The beloved wife of the late Clyde Percy Sharp, she is survived by her son, Jerome Sharp; three daughters - Trina Sharp LeBlanc (David), Sheila Sharp and Teresa Sharp Hurston (Charlie), five grandchildren - Jason Sharp, Scott Sharp (Marissa), Cassie Keating (Gregory), Justin Hurston and Kyle LeBlanc; seven sisters - Shirley Williams, Mattie Wray, Earline Osborne, Agnes Smith, Mary Little, Judy Edminston, and Sybil Revere; two sisters-in-law - Lydia Sharp Galloway and Sadie Sharp McClendon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Her parents, one sister - Yvonne Boyd, and two brothers – J.D. and Mike Jenkins preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sharp was a retired secretary for the St. Tammany Parish School Board where she worked for 37 years. She was also a dedicated member of Jerusalem Baptist Church and acted as the church's secretary for over 30 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a FUNERAL SERVICE at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 01, 2015 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. (985) 892-9222.
A WAKE is scheduled to take place from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2015 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home. VISITATION on Saturday, August 01, 2015 will be from 9:00 AM until service time.
Interment will immediately follow services at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA.
