PORTER, Rosa Lee (nee: Butler), 78, of Lebanon died Sunday, July 19, 2015. Born to Kelly and Amanda (nee: Trent) Butler on May 13, 1937 in Oakdale, Kentucky. Rosa graduated from Kings Mills High School and later worked and retired after 31 years with Proctor and Gamble. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, crafts and sewing. She was an active member of the Gospel Baptist Church, where she cooked for 8 ½ years. Rosa was a faithful member of the Grace Baptist Church in Middletown and made pillows for the pillow ministry. She would crochet for anyone who was having a baby. Rosa lived her life for someone else, she was always number 1 after others.

Preceded in death by her parents, her one son, James Edward Johnson, Jr., one brother, Lonnie Butler and one infant sister.

Rosa Lee is survived by her husband, William R. Porter of Lebanon, son, William S. Johnson (Melissa) of Lebanon, two brothers, Andy and Amos Butler of Lebanon, two sisters, Mary Lee Blevins of Middletown and Judy Plumber (Denny) of Sharonville, one step-son, William K. Porter (Kathy) of Milford, two step- daughters, Cheryl Overstreet (Claude) of Colorado and Karen Gadd (Edwin) of Kentucky, eleven grandchildren, Marcus Johnson, Josh Mecklenborg, Ethan Mecklenborg, Amanda Johnson, Emily Brown, Bridgett Houshalter, Keith Porter Jr., Susan Lyons, Brian Overstreet, Katrina Huber and Aaron Porter. Rosa is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 22, 2015 from 10:00-12:00noon with a service beginning at 12:00noon all at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral home, Lebanon. Interment to follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Grace Baptist Church, Middletown. Arrangements made by Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home.
