Mrs Emma (Anderson) Holte
Funeral services for Emma Holte were conducted Thursday Sept 14 from her home in Reynolds Coulee and the Zion Lutheran Church Rev KM Urberg conducted the last rites in the absence of her pastor.
Ingeborg Andrea, daughter of Gunder Anderson Erlandsdal and Andi Torgersdatter, was born May 6, 1869 at Kilbourn, Wi and was baptized there by Rev St S Reque.
In 1870 the family moved to Reynolds Coulee where she had her home until death. On March 3, 1893 she was married to Adolph Holte which union continued until his death in 1924. The marriage was blessed with five children: two Milton and Alvin died in infancy.
Surviving are Gertie, Mrs William Stoppenbrink of Ellenberg, WA, and Carl and Henry at home. There are also three grandchildren. Three sisters: Mrs Oline (Carl Mathison) Holte of Blair, Mrs Johanna (Olaf) Toft of Seattle, WA, and Sophie, was Mrs Elmer Blix of Tacoma, WA and a brother Gilbert G Anderson of Tigard, Oregon survive.
She passed away at the Whitehall hospital on September 10, 1944 after an illness of a week. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Thea and Anna and a brother Theodore.
Her body was laid to rest beside her husband in the cemetery adjoining the church.
