Clyde Austin died Sunday, July 15,1990 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis at the age of 72. A Hardin County native, he was the son of the late Linville and Daisy Hollins Austin. He was married to the former Bessie Pinson who survives. Mr. Austin was a retired farmer and construction worker. He was also a member of Graham United Methodist Church. The funeral was Tuesday, July 17, at 3 pm. at Shackelford Chapel with Doug Hagler and Chris LaPack officiating. Burial was in Graham Cemetery. Other than his wife Bessie, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Freeda Barrier, Mrs. Carolyn Cornelius and Mrs. Helen Walker, all of Savannah; one son, Jerry Wayne Austin of Savannah; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Harrison of Shiloh and Mrs. Mary Wilding of Knoxville; two brothers, Henry Austin of Corinth, Miss., and Clarence "Bud" Austin of Savannah; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
