Mr. Doyle Johnson-age 79 of Sharps Chapel, formerly of Davisburg, Michigan passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of General Motors, Pontiac, Michigan and was an accomplished die setter. He was preceded in death by his wife: Bessie Jane Sharp Johnson; parents, Bud and Joanna (Hopper) Johnson; brother, Tookie Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Pascal and Alma Sharp. Survivors: sons, Ricky Johnson and Christine Webb of Sharps Chapel; Ben Johnson and wife, Sandra of Holly, Michigan; Raymond Johnson and wife, Lora of New Tazewell. Seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Tim Sharp, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating with music by The Betterway Singers. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2015, Brogan Cemetery, Johnson Hollow Road, Sharps Chapel. Music at the graveside service by Gregory Arnold and Paul Collins. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1 p.m. Sunday to go in procession. Pallbearers: family and friends. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
