April 26, 1948 Syracuse Herald Journal - Syracuse, New York - Lorenzo J. Borden 305 Academy Place - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cody and James funeral home for Lorenzo J. Borden of 305 Academy Place, who died yesterday at his home after a brief illness. He was a native of Lacona and resided in Syracuse 25 years. He had been employed as a machinist for the New York Central Railroad. Mr. Borden is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lulu Brown Borden; a son, Bruce S. Borden; a daughter, Miss Mary I. Borden; his father, John E. Borden; six sisters, Mrs. Thomas Buell, Mrs. Edna Bellrose, Mrs. Carl Loyster, Miss Esther Borden, Mrs. Archie Presley and Mrs. Frank Miles, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours at the funeral home are from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery.
