Clifford Read Miller (age 76) passed away peacefully with his family present at his home in American Fork of Parkinson's Disease.
He was born in Heber, Utah, on January 11, 1926, to John Clifford and Thelma Read Miller. He spent most of his early years working in the Miller family theater business. After his schooling in Lehi, Utah, Read served in the Air Force in World War II.
He married Cleo Christensen on Oct. 15, 1947, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. Read (known as Cliff at work) was employed at Geneva Steel as a foreman and superintendent of the Structural Mill and Roller Mill for 37 years, retiring in 1987.
Read was a High Priest in the AF 14th Ward and enjoyed being a temple worker in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and woodwork.
Survivors include his wife, and their six children: Mary Ann Moon, of Sandy; Annette (Vard) Pulley, Kathie (Leon) Adamson, Lisa Miller, Russell (Sandy) Miller; all of Am. Fork; and Kendall (Jennifer) Miller of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 19 grandchildren; 4 greatgrandchildren; two brothers: Neil (Beth) Miller of New York; Craig (Stephanie) Miller of Taylorsville; Sister in law: Anna Mae Prestwich of Am. Fork.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, brother: John Dale Miller; grandson: Randy Vard Pulley.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services to be held Wednesday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the American Fork East Stake Center, 825 East 500 North, American Fork. The viewing will be Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to the services.
The family would like to express appreciation to Hospice for their care and kindness. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery with military rites performed by VFW District 4.
