BEALETON, Va., — Roger Lee Sparks, age 65, a resident of Bealeton, Virginia passed away on July 23, 2015. Roger was a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years before becoming disabled from a stroke.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sparks; two brothers, Walter and George Sparks.
He is survived by his former wife and longtime friend, Donna Blankenship of Bealeton, VA; four children, Rebecca Baughman of Sumerduck, VA, Regina Brotherton of Charlotte, NC, Lee Sparks of Tazewell, VA and Pam Sparks of Bealeton, VA; mother, Nancy Sparks of N. Tazewell, VA; four siblings, Bernice Tibbs of N. Tazewell, Roy Sparks of N. Tazewell, Jeff Sparks of N. Tazewell and Dale Sparks of Wytheville, VA; Ten grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 1:00pm and a service followed at 2:00pm at the Grandview Memory Gardens 38659 Governor GC Peery Hwy., Bluefield, VA 24605. Flowers are to be sent to Grandview Memory Gardens and not to funeral home.
