Josiah "Si" Adam Walters, 84, of 251 Pleasant, No. 12, DeGraff, died at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1997, at Heartland of Bellefontaine. He was a special police officer in Dayton for 10 years and a 5-year DeGraff Police Department officer, and a retired welder at Henschen Industrial in Jackson Center. Born in Logan County on Aug. 25, 1912, he was a son of Perry and Estella Burton Walters. He married Rose Etta Johnson on Aug. 15, 1981, and she died July 17, 1985.

Survivors include four sons and their spouses; a daughter-in-law; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters; and a stepson. Also preceding him in death was a son, Eugene Walters.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in Degraff, where calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ron Girton will officiate, and burial will be in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.
