Iona May Potter

Casper - Funeral services for Iona May Potter, 98, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007, at Bustard Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.

She died June 25, 2007, at Life Care Center of Casper.

She was born July 14, 1908, in Kirksville, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Cora Rodgers.

She completed her schooling in Kirksville and Quincy, Ill.

She married Pete D. Potter on Oct. 31, 1926, in Quincy, Ill.

Her interests included quilting, cooking, gardening, sewing and her church.

Survivors include her children, Lawrence Potter, Bonnie Thompson and Gloria Fuller, all of Casper, Ida Featheringill of Republic, Mo., and Donald Potter of Kirksville, Mo.; 37 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1981, three daughters, Louise Gates, Lois Mullanix and Lorene Massey; three sons, Daniel Potter, Pete Potter, Jr., and Jim Potter; six sisters, two brothers and four grandchildren.

For those who wish, memorials to Meals on Wheels or to Central Wyoming Hospice will be appreciated by the family.
