She is survived by her uncles, David Strayhorn, III of Pollocksville, Willie Ray Strayhorn of New Bern and Frederick Strayhorn of Charlotte; aunts, Evelyn Collins of Pollocksville and Daisy Strayhorn of Jacksonville, NC, Carmen Klein of New York.
