Funeral services for Ellen F. Alger, of Southwest Portland, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Caldwell's Colonial Chapel. She died Saturday in a care center of causes related to age. She was 85.
Born on May 20, 1906, in Spokane, Mrs. Alger had lived in Portland for the last 50 years. She was a commercial bank teller with First Interstate Bank before her retirement in 1972. She married her husband, Hollis, on May 18, 1946.
She is survived by her husband and a brother, Harry Wright of King City.
