Tony Ross, age 73, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 27, 2015.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Reverend Marshall Gupton will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
Mr. Ross is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Kirby Ross; son, Joey Ross of Smyrna; sisters, Jo Anne Ross and Rosemary Ross both of Hampton, VA; four grandchildren, Olivia and Bronwyn Lambert and Sophia and Saxxon Ross; sister-in-law, Alice Ross of Hampton, VA; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Joseph and Mary Franchesie Ross; daughter, Angelina “Angi” Ross Lambert; and brothers, William Francis Ross and G.J. Ross.
Mr. Ross was a native of Hampton, Virginia. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired Director of Operations with Central South Music Sales. He loved all sorts of music. Mr. Ross also served as a Deputy Guard with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department and had worked at Publix in Smyrna. Mr. Ross was a member of Sam Davis Masonic Lodge #661, a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner, belonging to the Al Menah Temple.
Memorials in memory of Mr. Ross can be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
Conley Dykes, Mike Lane, Randy Lane, Donnie Carter, Brandon Lane and Tully Lane will serve as active pallbearers. Saxxon Ross will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m.
