GARRETT - ALICE L HECKMAN, 87, of Garrett died Friday July 7, 2006 at Miller's Merry Manor.

Mrs Heckman was a real estate agent for Miller Realty in Huntertown until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garrett and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was born Jan 1, 1919 in LaPorte to Scott H and Daisy (Coucher) Webb. They preceded her in death.

She married Harry Jackson Sr in 1938. He preceded her in death in 1979. She married Carl W Heckman in 1982, and he preceded her in death in 2000.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law; two daughters; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Haskell, Harry and Nelson Webb, and two sisters, Bessie Hicks and Ramona Voorhees.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 am at Thomas Funeral Home 1277 CR 56 Garrett with Pastor Jeffrey Horn officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, rural Garrett. Calling will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
