Donald R. Cowan, 73, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Franklin, Indiana. He was born February 23, 1942, in Columbia, Kentucky, the son of Ollie James and Loracy (Burton) Cowan.

He is survived by sons, Travis (Erika) Cowan and Tracy Cowan, both of Edinburgh; a brother, Jerry Cowan of Edinburgh; a sister, Helen Sallee of Edinburgh; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dawn D. Deem; brothers, Eulis, Junior, Earl and Ralph Cowan; and a sister, Loedda M. Price.

Mr. Cowan was a member of Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh. He enjoyed fishing and watching football, basketball and baseball.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
