Ivey Earl Phillips, 79, of Bentonville, Arkansas, died Friday, July 24, 2015, at Bradford House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Mr. Phillips was born in Coffee County, Georgia on June 3, 1936, to the late Jefferson J. and Cora Lee Harper Phillips. He was preceded in death in 2013 by his wife of 53 years: Mary Jane (Willis) Phillips. He was also preceded by 7 brothers and sisters.

Mr. Phillips was raised in Fitzgerald, Georgia where he attended high school and excelled in all sports. He later entered the Air Force and upon discharge settled in Atlanta. His career in the finance industry would then take him to Cleveland, TN, Corsicana, TX and Irmo, SC. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and pool and working in his yard.

He is survived by one daughter, Robyn Janelle Thurman; son-in-law, Scot Thurman; granddaughter, Lila Claire Thurman; and grandson, Matthew Scot Thurman all of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
