Dana Jean Grimes Harrington, 63, of Odessa, TX passed away on July 25, 2015 in Odessa peacefully at home.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday July 28, 2015 at the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
There will be open visitation through 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Dana was born in Roswell, NM to Jess and Mary Grimes on September 9, 1951. She attended school at Odessa High School and graduated Class of 69. She married Dale Harrington on December 30, 1972 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Odessa, TX. She worked in advertising for forty years. She began her career at Womack Claypool Advertising that later became CVA Advertising and Marketing where she served as a Vice President.

She was very active in the community. She served as either a board member, committee member or volunteer for the following organizations: Ellen Noel Art Museum, Globe of the Great Southwest, Hospice of the Southwest, Junior League of Odessa, Little League, Odessa College, Odessa Youth Baseball Association, Permian Basin Ad Club, Permian Basin International Oil Show, Permian Basin Rehab Center, Pet Watch, Pilot Club of Odessa, Project Lifesaver – Founder, Safe Place, Sandhills Rodeo and Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center.

Dana is preceded in death by her parents Jess and Mary Grimes.

Dana is survived by husband: Dale Harrington, Children: Jason Harrington and wife Casey, Emily Harrington and Chris Phillips and Sarah Harrington, Brother: Taylor Grimes and wife Heather, Grandchildren: Genavieve, Linlee, Colson and Harper and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Grimes, Roger Harrington, Michael Harrington, Chris Phillips, Craig Van Amburgh and Bill Stanford.

The family requests memorials be made to one of the organizations above or the organization of your choice.

The family of Dana wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of her wonderful friends and family for all of the support, prayers, thoughts, food and flowers through these last 22 trying months. She was an amazing wife, mother and Gigi. She was loved by everyone that knew her and will be greatly missed.
