He was a retired self-employed truck driver of coal and quarry products. He was a life time member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Lykens.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. in the Korean War. He was the husband of Helen (Maletish) Hoover. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeff B. Hoover of Rochester, NY; 2 sisters, Carley Kahler and Barbara Deitrich, both of Loyalton; 3 grandchildren; Mathew, Elizabeth, and Benjamin (Jamie). Bruce was preceded in death by a brother, Lou G. Hoover.
Religious services were held at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, with Military Honors and burial at Hoffman's Cemetery.
