Martha M. Herron Parsons, of Sparta, Tennessee, age 77, passed away July 25, 2015 in Sparta.
Martha was born in Harlan, Kentucky, on May 30, 1938, the daughter of late
Russell Herron and Donna Scott Herron.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Joe Edwin Dorton, second husband, Jack E. Parsons; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son, David Dorton; daughter, Debra Torres; sister, Faye Hamlin;
brother, Frank Herron of Kentucky;
grandchildren, Julie Iles and Chastity Cowles; 6 great grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday July 29, 2015 at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
