Born in Athens, Alabama, on February 4, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Lily Viola Rouse and George Russell Guess. In 1957, she was valedictorian of her graduating class from Clements High School in Athens, Ala. She was a member of Piney Ridge United Methodist Church and retired after 20 years as a computer specialist for the FBI. Betty loved her flower garden, arranging flowers and cooking for her family.
Betty is survived by three daughters, Karen Faye Baker and husband, Brad of Pamplin, Jean Marks and husband, Chuck of Red House, and Juanita Joan Quattrociocchi of Port Tobacco, MD; two sons, Michael McKinley Davis and fiancée, Trasie Barnes of Jefferson, MD and Kenneth Dewayne Davis of Thurmout, MD; a sister, Florene Guess of Pamplin; four grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Mandy Carrier, Julie Davis, and Connie Quattrociocchi; and would have been a great-grandmother in February.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Pamela Faye Baker; three sisters; and two brothers.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Tuesday, July 28, 2015, from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Piney Ridge United Methodist Church by the Rev. Herndon Jeffreys with burial following in the church cemetery.
