He was married to Jo Ann (Varnadore) at Gaar Corner on May 25, 1957. He was the Manager of Mays Lumber Company, Stratford, Oklahoma for many years, also served as chief on the Stratford Fire Department. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grand-daughter.
