Mrs Dean passed away Dec 27, 1967 at Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo following a long illness. Services were held at the First Wesleyan Methodist Church, Waterloo. Burial in Spring Creek cemetery. Mrs Dean was born Thelma Marie Miller the daughter of Edward and Hattie Miller on Feb 1908 at Winthrop, Iowa. She married Lester E. Dean on April 16, 1949 in Waterloo, IA, She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband and three sons, Elwin D. Purdy, Marion, Indiana, Donald Purdy, Charles City, IA and Robert J. Purdy Duluth, MN, two step-children Donald Dean,CA amd Mrs (Marjorie) John Crandell, Eugene, Oregon, twelve grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, a brother, Floyd H. Miller of Independence, IA, four sisters, Mrs (Mildred Leona Miller) Alfred Jamison of Waterloo, Mrs (Gladys Elizabeth Miller) Delbert Black of Waterloo. Mrs. (Eunice Marion Miller) Arnold Nabholz of Emily, MN and Mrs(Neva A. Miller) Robert Buck of LaPorte City.
