Raymond Vernon Burris, June 24, 1928 - July 15, 2015.

Monmouth -- Raymond passed away in his loving home on July 15th. He was born in Damar, Kansas to Albert and Emma Burris on June 24, 1928.

Raymond married Helen Pfeifer in 1954 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, and then moved to Silverton in 1959.

He was a part of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion. Raymond enjoyed live music and dancing. He worked for Mallorie's Dairy for 20 years and for Oakhill Dairy for 25 years before working at JB saw and seeds for 35 years and then retiring.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen, brothers, Wayne and Wesley, and sister, Elsie.

Raymond is survived by his daughters, Diana Bielenberg, Vickey Sines, and Janice Burris, sisters, Lydia and Lillie, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Silverton. Graveside will take place at Willamette National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 22, at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel, Silverton.
